JD7 have developed a complete range of ROVs from miniature
pressure vessel inspection vehicles to large bore fully submersible pipe
crawlers. Our vehicles are designed and manufactured by our engineers, ensuring
individual customer requirements are incorporated and ultimately delivering
reliable and cost effective solutions.

Large Bore Pipe Crawler
Our latest ROV has been designed for use within large bore pipe work
targeted at water, gas and oil industries. This system incorporates high definition
video equipment, allowing 360 degree inspections. The ROV is capable of
operating up to 2km within 60in. diameter pipe work and above. |

The ROV is
fully submersible and utilises explosion proof technology allowing gas and
water mains to be inspected safely.
The ROV is incredibly powerful and comprises four individually
controlled motor drive units, allowing drive and traction in the
harshest of environments. This system is currently being used by Balfour
Beatty to inspect and route stainless steel cables along 1km of 70in.
bore pipe work.

The vehicle is controlled remotely by a
control station and automated cable drum allowing all parameters to be
controlled and monitored.
